After the j1 exco interview, we have shortlisted the top 14 applicants and this is the list of successful applicants:

congratulations all the top 14 applicants! we are so sorry to those who couldn't make it to the top 14 but thanks for making the effort to try out for excos!(:

successful applicants will to make a speech about 3-5 minutes to the whole band and presentation of speech will be in the order of the classes ( as shown on top). There will be a Q n A session after the whole speech presentation. J2s and the rest of the J1s will then get to vote for their top 7 exco choices. however, the top 7 choices will not be 100 % dependent on popularity votes.

these are some pointers we hope you can include in your speech besides your own content:
1. Reasons for running exco and the respective positions
2. convince the band why they should vote for you
3. vision for the band
4. have something/an item to represent yourself and explain why

SYF PRACTICES

band! SYF is less than 2 weeks away! we are only left with 1 and 1/2 week left to practice.
we understand that you all are busy with school work and others but please hang on there!!!!
REMEMBER: OUR AIM IS NOT GOLD, BUT GOLD WITH HONOURS. WE CAN MAKE IT THERE. WE MUST BE THE FIRST BATCH TO MAKE HISTORY IN VJC HARMOC BAND!
since now we are not aiming for quantity but quality, here are the latest practice format:

Mon: 500- 730pm
Tues: NO PRAC
Wed: 300-500pm
Thurs: 500-700pm
Fri: 500-700pm
Sat: 130-530pm ( 130-330 exco speech )

please meet at the concourse at the start of the practice. From now on there will only be combined prac unless SLs request for sectionals. we will inform u all if there is any last minute change. and if we are efficient during the practice, we can get to leave earlier!
